Cronin Engineering completed an inspection of the exterior waterproofed concrete deck on February 2nd, 6th, and 13th, 2023, and, March 7th and 30th, 2023. The primary objective of this inspection and report is to detect breaches and evaluate further to determine if the breach is an active water leak at the above address. The scope of the inspection included the Electric Field Vector Mapping (EFVM) Test of the exterior waterproofed concrete deck
Inspection and Observations
Our engineers inspected the concrete deck. These inspections consisted solely of the Electric Field Vector Mapping (EFVM) test. The test was performed by using the Detec IntegriScan System following the ASTM Standards and were thoroughly executed throughout the entire deck with particular attention to all exposed and visible areas of the concrete.
The test was performed by using the Detec IntegriScan System following the ASTM Standards:
Overall, the waterproofed concrete deck is in good condition. The EFVM test confirms waterproofing membranes are free of breaches, holes, or seam voids during construction. Regarding specific observations and conditions observed during our inspection of the seawall, these are as follows.
Conclusion
We completed our inspection and investigation of the exterior waterproofed concrete deck located at 347 Don Shula Dr., Miami Gardens, FL 33056. The waterproofed concrete deck is in good condition. Instances where there are active leaks in existing deck, the waterproofing membrane should be patched, cleaned, and sealed. This is recommended for the areas shown in Figures 2 thru 4.
